If you purchased any of the last Magic: the Gathering set Battle for Zendikar you helped Wizards of the Coast and Hasbro have the strongest launch of a Magic set according to ICv2 and Hasbro’s CEO Brian Goldner. Magic is a strong product at the moment and I don’t think it will slow down any time soon. Some of our friends are Magic players/collectors and we want to wish them a fun time at the tournaments or pickup games they play.
Elida Almeida Shares her Music Video for “Lebam Ku Bo”
Elida Almeida is sharing with the ComicPop listeners her music video to her single “Lebam Ku Bo”. This single has an island feel to me that comes through with a flowing rhythm. Elida’s voice is a very clear alto that soothes the listener as she sings. The video takes you on a colorful trip through the countryside. Elida will be coming to SXSW this year all the way from Cape Verde, so if you happen to be in Austin during SXSW stop by her session. Until then watch the music video, for “Lebam Ku Bo”, that Elida is sharing with us from her Vevo YouTube channel – Richard:

Supergirl/Flash Crossover Announced
ICv2 has posted some exciting news for DC television fans. Executive Producers Greg Berlanti and Andrew Kreisberg announced that the CW’s Flash will appear in CBS’ Supergirl. The Crossover episode will air March 28. This will bring the DC television universe a fifth tie-in show even though Supergirl is on CBS. It has already been stated that Constantine has been in Arrow even though that show was canceled the character has lived on. The other three (Flash, Arrow, and DC’s Legends of Tomorrow) being on the CW. Don’t know how they would tie in with Gotham unless they bring in a grown up Bruce/Batman and use the same villain actors with some aging makeup on them or have the Legends of Tomorrow team go to that timeline in Gotham. It would be really cool if they could get them all tied together.
Cado’s Premiere of the First Single “A.M.”
The rap duo from Boston Cado has graciously allowed ComicPop Library the premiere of their first single “A.M.” featuring Eventide. “A.M.” is from their upcoming “FREE WIFI” project. This is one where the single is not an in your face type of single. It has a very nice flowing rhythm that I could listen to just by itself. The lyrics are nice and clear and isn’t muddled at all. Cado is making sure you get to hear all of their music, which some artists aren’t overly concerned about. For some the lyrics might be a little rough, but this should not be a surprise within the rap industry. This is one that got my head to bobbing and really enjoyed. Cado wants you to check it out so they have provided a link through SoundCloud for the ComicPop listeners to enjoy. I’m looking forward to hearing more from them in the future. Here’s Cado’s “A.M.” featuring Eventide – Richard:
Parenting with Profanity Blog
We wanted to put a spot light on a new blog that has started up by Bronwyn Main, Parenting with Profanity. If you remember the adult children’s book back in 2011 entitled Go the Fuck to Sleep by Adam Mansbach and read wonderfully by Samuel L. Jackson, the Parenting with Profanity Blog is in the same vain. It’s what every parent is probably thinking in their heads while the sensitized version comes out to be heard. Bronwyn has had three posts to date and updates when ever her time allows. Check it out for new some fun stories: http://parentingwithprofanity.blogspot.com/
Rolla Olak Music Video for their Single “Ghost Rider”
Rolla Olak is sharing with the ComicPop Library listeners the music video for their single “Ghost Rider”. “Ghost Rider” is from Rolla Olak’s third album Heavy Feathers. The sound to this single is laid back and easy to listen to. The style kind of reminded me of what Bruce Springsteen or Tom Petty sounds like when they are single one of their slower paced songs. I like the sound and enjoyed “Ghost Rider” because it put me in a relaxed mood. The music video will put you in a trance if you aren’t careful. Thanks to Rolla Olak for sharing “Ghost Rider” with us through Tone Shed Records YouTube channel – Richard:

Altruist Official Trailer from Rene Perez
Our friend Rene Perez has been hard at work directing his latest project, The Altruist. The poster and trailer from The Altruist, looks to be right up my alley. I love the Punisher and Executioner type characters and this looks similar. Cant’ wait to check it out. Thanks to Shasta County Film Commission’s YouTube channel for the trailer and congrats to Rene, looks like a killer movie – Richard:
