Troy is sharing with all the ComicPop listeners his music video for his single “Song Man”. “Song Man” has a strong rock beat that as the music video shows a couple would slow dance to. The video is different in that it takes on a performance look along with a storytelling aspect about the older couple dancing to the tune. A well constructed song that takes on a rock/ballad feel. Studio Ghibli’s next release to the North American market will be Only Yesterday. The movie has that Ghibli look and looks to be more of a “slice of life” film. The main voice actors are Daisy Ridley (a Star Wars Alum) and Dev Patel. Thanks to Movieclips Trailers YouTube channel for the trailer:

When I first heard about the new Star Trek television series it was stated that it was only going to be available on CBS All Access, but now I see that at the end of the teaser it says it will debut on CBS in 2017. Very excited that they didn’t make this an exclusive. The teaser doesn’t give you much, but it is a cool “rail” shoot. I also find it curious that the teaser used the plural tense with “New Crews”, “New Villians”, New Heroes”, and “New Worlds”. The big one I’m curious about is the “New Crews” statement…does this mean the series might follow multiple ships and their crews instead of just one? Just having some fun. Deadline Hollywood reports that for the second season of Supergirl has moved over to The CW. The trailer below also bears that information out. I’m glad that The CW picked this up and they can have more fun in the DC television universe. It also makes sense because the channel is a Warner property. The next anime film to come from Project Itoh is Harmony. If you are one of the lucky you will actually be able to see it in the theater today or tomorrow (May 17 and 18). Sound! Euphonium is one of those anime that sometimes you get surprised by. Yes it is a bit of “slice of life” and “RomCom” which isn’t that unusual. It’s the theme of the show that’s a bit unusual with the anime being centered around a band class. So this might be one to consider picking up for you collection if you are looking for something with a different slant in theme. The third season just came out recently so you will need to pick up seasons one and two for a complete run to date.
