What Will Our Future Hold

Another example of how science fiction can one day become fact.  The Kuratas robot is created by Kogoro Kurata and is piloted by a person.  Since being placed on the Suidobashi Heavy Industry’s website for a price of 1.35 Million dollars per robot they have received 3,000 orders.  Makes one wonder if the future of warfare might go the way of the visions of Japanese writers pictures fighting wars with huge human piloted robot mechas.  The following two videos from YouTube, through Animenews Network show the Kuratas in action.  Christmas present maybe!

Halo Web Series on YouTube

With Halo 4 coming out, there is a Halo 4: Forward Unto Dawn web series to coincide with it.  The series can be found on YouTube on MachinimaPrime Channel.  This web series will appeal to gamers as well as science fiction fans.  I have provide links to the first two parts of the series and the trailer is below:

AMV Spotlight of the Week

This is another post from April. I was at a convention in Denver, CO this year and I was an audience member for the AMV contest. This particular video was in the comedy category and I died from laughter 50 times through the whole thing. It was the only true funny one on the category and by far the best all around. Though I did not get to see the results I have no doubt that this video did very well. 🙂

Thanks to YouTuber “BestAMVsOfAllTime1″ for the following AMV that was created by MysteriousRyder.  The song is Nice Guys Finish Last” performed by Chester See, KevJumba, and Ryan Higa and is edited around scenes from Fullmetal Panic! and Fumoffu.

Anomaly Graphic Novel Trailer

Even though it’s a little pricey Anomaly, Skip Brittenham and Brian Haberlin, will be one you will want to consider for your graphic novel collections.  Thanks to YouTuber “ExperienceAnomaly” for the following trailer:
