We are just having fun reviewing and discussing comic books, graphic novels, manga, anime/animation, music and movies that we have recently read, listened to or watched.

Anyway Scarlette has been busy and with all of her touring she has also released her second single, “Helena”, from her upcoming EPK Attack of the 6ft Woman. To get primed for SXSW, Vuurwerk has released two remixes for fans to get stocked about. The first is done by DNKL, for their single “Warm Dark Night”, and the second remix is by Nick Nicely, for their single “Rrainbow”. The latest from Ultra Violent Rays is just as moody as the first one we got to listen to from them. With “Vegas” Ultra once again pulls you in with their sound and they don’t let you go until you have finished the single. The Eiffels debut single, from their upcoming self titled EP, is “I Did It Now”. This group has a 1980’s synth rock feel to them in this single. It has a great base beat, that will have your head bobbing. “I Did It Now” isn’t a pop rock sound, it has a darker feel to it with the heavy drum beat. Check it out through SoundCloud – Richard:
Coffeehouse has a nice cool sound with their music that you should check out. However, in this instance they want everyone to check out their Acoustic version of their single “On This Side”. This version definitely has a different feel than the original, but in a good way. Both version are well done and enjoyable. Orla Gartland is in country and will be touring through the month of March. We get to watch and listen to her single “Lonely People”, which has a great Pop sound. The single has a nice upbeat tempo and her voice fits the Pop genre very well. It blends with the instrumentals, but isn’t overpowered by them. This can be tricky for an artist, but Orla handles it well with “Lonely People”. If you want to check her music out you can go to the following places to hear her live. MIRK releases their fourth single from their upcoming album Run, “Let it Go”. This is definitely not Disney’s “Let it Go”, so don’t be fooled. This single features a strong soulful female solo and then goes into MIRK’s upbeat feel. Take a listen through SoundCloud – Richard:
I love the Lucha Libre masks! El Conjunto Nueva Ola seems to be a band that is a bunch of guys just wanting to have fun and it comes across in their single “El Jom Dipo”. At times I think fun music gets a bad rap. We need to have the fun stuff as well as other types of music. Their rhythm of “El Jom Dipo” is infectious and will make your body move whether you want it to our not. Great fun and I hope the band will keep the fun flowing. Vuurwerk comes to us by way of Brussels. The band is an electronic trio and is making their way out into this wonderful world of music. The specific music video single we have of theirs is “Wakening” which has a very atmospheric quality to it. This will appeal to some, but not all.
