New Last Airbender

Nicktoons.com has released a trailer for The Last Airbender: Legend of Korra.  This will be a new animated series, not a sequel to the live action movie.  With this title, the animated series is where it’s at.  The first story was very well done and I am willing to bet this second story will be well done as well.

Warner Animation Announcements

ICv2 reporting from Comic Con reports that Warner Animation announced their next three DC projects.  First up will be Justice League: Doom based on Mark Waid’s story “Tower of Babel”.  Second will be Superman vs. The Elite which is based on Joe Kelly’s “What’s so Funny About Truth, Justice and the American Way” story.  Last was the big one, Batman: Dark Night Returns from the same titled Frank Miller mini series.  It looks like the next year will be a great on for DC animated features.

Hulk S.M.A.S.H.ed!

ICv2 is reporting that at Comic Con this last weekend Jeph Loeb announced that Disney XD has a Hulk and the Agents of S.M.A.S.H. in development.  This is a new animated series that is being looked at to get Tween and Teen boys into watching.  This is one of the primary reasons Disney purchased Marvel is because they had no properties that drew in the young boy viewers.  We will probably see more of this coming out from Disney as the years progress.

Nick to Get New Anime Series

AnimeNews Network’s site is reporting that Nickelodeon will be getting a new anime series next spring.  The series is Monsuno, which is about some thrill seeking boys that get their hands on some re-awakened monster DNA.  Hopefully, this will be a good fit for them.  As much as I can tell other companies are licensing the toys and other merchandise, but I have not heard of it being connected to any game.

AMV of the Week

I’m a little behind on this because of a busy week, but here it is….The AMV of the Week.  YouTuber 1984Neptune is featured in this weeks AMV.  He has taken The Saturdays “Up” and used several animation scenes of women from the X-Men Universe.  Great job 1984Neptune.
