Anime Inspired Eyewear
The Japanese eyeglass maker JINS has teamed up with Evangelion and Tiger & Bunny to produce eyeglasses that are themed to both anime. The EVA-99 Gendo is the top picture and it has the NERV logo on the frames. There will also be 5 other Evangelion themed glasses. The Tiger & Bunny glasses are the bottom two pictures and they are up for pre0rder on the online Premium Bandai Store and Oricon Store. The Tiger & Bunny themed glasses will have four different styles to choose from.

Here is some news that your library’s gamers might be interested in. Japanese game publisher Natsume announced that Carnage Heart EXA will be released as an English version on the PLAYSTATION Network in early 2013.

Marvel’s a MADHOUSE Again
The Japanese studio MADHOUSE is teaming up with Marvel Entertainment again to produce a direct-to-video Ironman film. The title of the film will be Ironman: Rise of Technovore. It is planned for a Spring 2013 release.

Here is a recently released anime that is popular, Deadman Wonderland. It is available from FUNimation and is one that you will want to place in the young adult or adult section of your DVD/Blu-Ray collections. The story is definitely mature in nature. AMV Spotlight of the Week
Since this weekend is Star Wars Reads Day I decided to go with a Star Wars AMV. This AMV spotlights YouTuber “SaiTorrsVideos”. The song “Let it Rock” performed by Kevin Rudolf (featuring Lil Wayne) was edited to a variety of Bounty Hunter scenes from The Clone Wars. The songs a great upbeat song and fits the attitude of the bounty hunters perfectly. Editing between scenes was very smooth and was fun to watch. The only negative I have is that the end is chopped off, instead of letting the song fade out. Great job “SaiTorresVideos”.
